I’ve been a professional graphic designer since 2008 and in that time I’ve worked with big name brands and small businesses, brides and new moms, and makers/artists on everything from hand drawn portraits all the way up to 53’ trailer vehicle wraps. Oh, and I house/operate an industrial laser in my basement…because when you build a rubber stamp business from the ground up, you need a good laser. While stamps aren’t my current focus - I still take orders for self-inking address stamps.
To help cope with the chaos of 2020 I took up watercolor painting - after being repeatedly asked if it would be for sale, I’ve listed several of the original paintings, all of the prints. In 2022 I discovered POSCA acrylic paint markers and have completely fallen head over heels for the medium. It combines my graphic design style with the meditation that is working with my hands. While the originals of the acrylic pieces aren’t available (they live in a variety of sketchbooks), I have all of that art available as prints.
Need some freelance work done? I’ve got a wealth of knowledge on print design and am always up for hearing about a new project.
Wait, didn’t this used to be a husband and wife owned company? What happened to Mike?
Mike still retains his part ownership of East Grove and does the occasional side project for a few clients, but by and large, he is travelling the world for his full-time job. It didn’t make sense for him to 1) be working two time-consuming jobs and 2) to say that he’s out of town quite a bit is an understatement.
