Price: $200 per portrait, does not include shipping.
Each portrait is painted using professional quality acrylic paints and inks onto a 9×12” Canvas Panel. Currently I’m only accepting commissions on human beings, one person per canvas panel. Note that this is an actual painted portrait - not done via a filter, so it’s not going to be an exact photographic likeness, please look carefully at the other portraits that I’ve done to get an idea of my style. I’ve included some photos in this listing that show the reference photo next to the finished painting so you can see how they compare and how much my style influences the final piece.
Canvas panels are rigid and can be leaned against other surfaces while also being thin (1/8”) enough to get framed (with or without glass). As of right now, I’m not offering framing - I’ll update this listing if/when that changes.
PROCESS
1) To avoid a pileup of work, I’m only taking on one client at a time (a client is welcome to commission multiple portraits of different people from their place in line). Purchase this listing, it adds your name to my waitlist and acts as a small deposit. Upon receiving your deposit, I’ll email you to let you know where you are in line and ask for information on how many portraits you’re commissioning, if there’s a timeline you’re hoping to hit, etc...
2) When it’s your turn, I’ll send you another email with an invoice (via Square) as well as one asking for photos. If there’s an exact photo that you’d like me to use, then let me know, otherwise I’d love to have a few options so I can select the one that I think will be the most successful/interesting as a painting. I’ll also ask about background color, you’re welcome to request a background color, or leave it to me to decide. If you don’t respond to my email request for photos/pay the invoice within a week, I’ll move on to the next person in line.
3) Depending on well, life, it will take a few days to two weeks for me to have the painting ready (from when I receive photos and payment). I’ll send over a photo for final approval (please note that the colors in the photo might not be representational to how you’ll see them in-person, especially with the neon accent colors I tend to include). I can make little tweaks after the fact, but I will not start over from scratch (again, look at my style beforehand).
4) If you’re in the Chicagoland area, you’re welcome to come by to pick-up your final piece, otherwise we’ll talk about shipping speed/cost once the final artwork is approved, that will be a separate invoice.
