Greene Valley Overlook Sketchbook was completed on October 9, 2021 and is a sketchbook painting of the view from the top of the Greene Valley Overlook in the western suburbs of Chicago. Forest preserve adjacent, the overlook is a retired landfill - which uses it’s supply of methane gas to help power the surrounding town. Down the middle of the painting, you’ll see the seam and stitching where the book comes together.
Prints: The prints are reproductions of Sydney’s watercolor paintings. They are printed using a special technique called Giclée. Giclée printing produces more detail than a standard desktop inkjet printer. The prints are printed on high quality archival papers using special light-fast inks that are archival certified, and if treated properly will last a lifetime. For the print paper, I’ve selected an Epson Premium paper that has a slight texture to it, which is a nod to the cold press watercolor paper that I paint the originals onto.
The original size of this piece is 16x11” - not a standard size. I’m offering prints in both the original ratio, as well as standard sizes - just know that with standard sizes, some cropping will occur.
I do not keep a stock of prints in my studio - all prints will ship directly from the company handling the printing with approximately a one-week turnaround. I will provide tracking when it becomes available to me. Shipping is a flat $4.
