My illustration tool box is pretty well stocked. Whether it’s drawing via the pen tool in Adobe Illustrator, drawing by hand directly onto my computer monitor, or drawing or painting onto paper and scanning it in, I love a good illustration project and am always up for a new challenge.
Editorial design is an area where I shine - every page is a puzzle waiting to be optimally solved. Whether it’s a full magazine or a one page flyer - effective, clean, visual communication is my MO.
This is an area where my passion for small business is evident. No matter a business’s size, everyone deserves well thought out branding. I have a pretty solid process here that starts with research and is buoyed by more research. I love presenting initial designs in black and white so my clients don’t get distracted by colors they love…or don’t love. Once it’s time for colors though, I’m all about finding interesting color combinations to really make each brand stand out.
I got my start as a graphic designer for an experiential marketing company - this means that I’ve put a lot of art on a lot of promotional materials over the years.
